Read More	OBITUARY from MINNEAPOLIS MESSENGER, dated 20 August 1964 DONALD ROSS WELL KNOWN MAN DIES Donald Otis Ross a resident of Ottawa County most of his life and well known all over the county, died Sunday at St. John's Hospital, where he had been a patient for a little over a week. Don was born in Beloit, August 7, 1904, but moved to the Ada community with his parents when a boy. He grew up there and attended the Ada schools. While still a young man he located at Bennington where he has been in business many years. He was a member of the Roman Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus and the Bennington Lions Club. As a Lions club member, he served in several official capacities which widened his acquaintance over a considerable area. He was an outstanding citizen and will be greatly missed. Don is survived by his widow, Agnes, two daughters, Mrs. Larry Benedict of Fort Worth, Texas, Mrs. Ted Wolf of Bennington; two brothers, Bernard and Terry, both of Los Angeles, California; a sister, Mrs. M.X. Dahlstrom, also of Los Angeles; and seven grandchildren. Funeral service were held this Wednesday morning at the Sacred Heart Cathedral, in Salina at 9:30, the Rev. Albert Helen officiating. Casket bearers were Lawrence Austin, Louis Geissert, Kenneth Stenfors, Charles Byrd, Herman Eisenhauer and Raymond Pieschl. Interment was in the Bennington cemetery. The Haley Funeral Home was in charge. The Don Ross family wishes to express their deep appreciation for all the wonderful acts of kindness during his illness and at the time of his death. We especially want to thank the members of the S.E.A., the Sand Creek H.D.U., the Bennington Lions and all those others who have given so much of their time and efforts. The food, flowers and cards meant so much. Thank you and may God bless you all. The Don Ross family.
