MORNING TIMES Friday August 11, 1967 Surnames: Smith, Criss, Graham, Bevington Donald P. Smith, 49, 917 Dye Rd., an employee of Delco Radio Division, died in the St. Joseph Memorial Hospital at 1:30 a.m. Thursday following an extended illness. Born in Howard County, Jan. 1,1918, he was the son of Hugh E. and Anna (Criss) Smith. He had lived in this vicinity all of his life. In 1939 he was married to Miss Edna Graham, who survives. He was employed as a foreman in Plant Five at Delco where he had been employed for the past 24 years. A 1936 graduate of the former Clay Township High School in Howard County, he was a member of the Shiloh Methodist Church and the American Legion Post of Russiaville. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Surviving in addition to the widow are three daughters, Mrs. Larry (Jean Ann) Bevington, Fremont, Calif, and Miss Dorothy Smith and Miss Rebecca Smith, both at home; a son, Norman E. Smith, Kokomo; the parents of Kokomo RR 1; two brothers, Earl Smith, Kokomo, and Paul C. Smith, Lawrence, Indiana; five grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. A sister is deceased. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Shiloh Methodist Church with the Rev. Leon LaCoax officiating. Burial will be in the Shiloh Cemetery. Friends may call at the Ellers Funeral Chapel after 1 p.m. Friday and at the church for one hour preceding the services.
