Description	:	Donald R. Cline, 76, of Gibbon, passed away Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at the Ravenna Good Samaritan Center. Funeral Services will be 10:30 A.M. Monday, April 21, 2014 at the Faith United Church in Gibbon. Rev. Cathy Cole will officiate. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Gibbon with military honors provided by the Gibbon American Legion #310 in conjunction with the Nebraska National Guard Honors Team. O'Brien Straatmann Redinger Funeral Home of Gibbon is in charge of arrangements. Donald Ray Cline was born April 26, 1937 in Cairo, Nebraska to Rex and Ida (Engle) Cline. He received his education from Gibbon High School, graduating in 1955. Following his graduation, Don moved to California. He was united in marriage to Barbara "Bobbie" Cater on July 19, 1960 in Fremont, California. Don was drafted into the United States Army October 4, 1960 and served in Germany until he was honorably discharged in September of 1962. The couple lived in Denver before moving back to Gibbon in 1974. Don was an Over-The-Road Truck driver for North American Van Lines for 40 years. He retired in 2003. He enjoyed working in his shop, fly fishing, camping and attending his grandchildren's events. Don was a member of the Faith United Church and the Gibbon American Legion #310. Survivors include his wife, Bobbie of Gibbon; son, Donald Cline, Jr and wife, Pam of Muncy, PA; daughters, Denise Volquardsen and husband, Darryl of McCook, Rochelle Krull and husband, Chris of North Platte; grandchildren, Josh Price, Tammy Wheeler and husband, Aaron, Sonny Cline, Rex Cline, Zachary Volquardsen and wife, Bridget, Emily Steenson and husband, Matt, Madison and Bryson Krull; great grandchildren, Madeline and Angelica Price, Lorrelia and Lillian Wheeler, Rylan and Maylynn Cline and Jeron Ray Steenson; sister, Barb Cline of Arvada, CO; brothers, Jim Cline and wife, Sherril of Gibbon and Butch Cline and wife, Merna of Kearney; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Don was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Joyce Mulder and brother-in-law, Ron Henderson.
