Funeral services will be 10 a.m. on Monday, May 24, 2004, at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Chapel, Bettendorf. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home. Donald was born on April 30, 1929 in Princeton, Iowa, the son of Clement F. and Mabel (Stichter) Anderson. He married Reba Carber on May 5, 1956, in McCausland. Donald farmed his whole life alongside his aunt and uncle and had worked for Dean Fry Construction for 25 years. He enjoyed horses, gardening, and especially traveling throughout the countryside. He had also served int he U.S. Army from 1951 to 1953 and was a member of the Moose Lodge, Chapter 106 in Davenport. Those left to honor his memory include his wife of 48 years, Reba; his son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey and Wendy Anderson, Calumus, Iowa; his granddaughter, Emily Anderson, Calumus; his sisters and brothers-in-law, Janet and Bob Wollard, Darlene Dailey, Bonnie and Arnie Rochau, Thelma and Tom Ehredt, Pat Hendricks, Peggy Roman, and Connie and Dale Baughman; and his special aunt, Wanda Anderson, of McCausland. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Sonny Anderson, his uncle, Ruebin Anderson, and his brothers-in-law, Lloyd Dailey and Lee Hendricks.
