Description	:	Donald Sinclair Thompson, age 82, Cobbs Creek, Va., passed away on Saturday, June 1, 2013. He was a member of Gwynn's Island Baptist Church. He was an active member of the American Legion Post 83. Donald graduated from Mathews High School in 1948. He was in the U.S. Navy for four years, after which he worked as a carpenter for several years, eventually becoming a General Building Contractor. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria R. Thompson; two children, Kimberly Sue and "Baby Boy" Thompson; his parents, Joseph Benjamin and Naomi Foster Thompson. He is survived by his daughter, Cynthia T. Hamlet... The family received friends Tuesday, June 4, 2013, from 7-9 p.m. at Gwynn's Island Baptist Church. A funeral service was held at the church at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, June 5, 2013; interment followed in Gwynn's Island Cemetery.
