Description	:	Donald "Don" W. Rutti, 62, of Marysville, Kansas, died Saturday, May 9, 2015, at his home. Visitation was Wednesday, May 13, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Kinsley Mortuary in Marysville. The family received friends from 6 to 8 p.m. A funeral service was held at 10 a.m., Thursday, May 14 at the United Methodist Church in Marysville. Rev. Dale Lewis officiated. Deb Landoll played the organ while Wayne Kruse sang “In the Garden” and the congregation sang “Old Rugged Cross”. Don was born May 14, 1952, at Marysville, son of Milan and Marjorie (Shepherd) Rutti. In 1970, he graduated from Marysville High School where he enjoyed playing football. On August 20, 1982, he married Deborah O’Roke at the First Baptist Church in Marysville. They raised four daughters and later divorced. Don loved his kids, grandkids, and family. He enjoyed coyote hunting with his friends, socializing, and gardening. If Don had a choice he would have raised chickens for a living but instead he farmed, operated a road grader and heavy equipment, was a bartender at the Marysville Country Club, and delivered parts locally for Landoll Corporation. He was preceded in death by his parents; and daughter, Jennifer Rutti. Survivors include his daughters, Joyce Rutti and partner Kathleen Walsh, Virginia Beach, Virginia; Jaclyn and husband Brandon Drake and their child, Kendall, Fort Worth, Texas, and Laura and husband Clint Friedrichs and their child, Rudy; brother, Jerry and wife Lydia Rutti, Saint John, Kansas; and a sister, Peg and husband Steve Friedrichs, Herkimer, Kansas. A memorial fund has been established and will be designated later. Contributions may be sent in care of Kinsley Mortuary.
