During the period, Prince William was transformed from a largely agrarian community to the home for thousands of suburbanites. Turner died at the Hospice of Northern Virginia after a long illness, according to reports. The illness was not disclosed. Turner is survived by two daughters; three sons; a sister and four brothers. Born in Maryland, Turner was the son of Virginia Turner, of Stanley, and the late Ellis Turner. A graveside service was held at a Luray memorial grounds this week and a funeral at the Dale City Church of God, of which Turner was a member.
