Services: 1 p.m. Wednesday, Brosh Chapel, Cedar Rapids, by the Rev. David Young. Inurnment: Campbell Cemetery at a later date. Visitation: 4 to 8 p.m. today at the chapel. Buck is survived by his wife, Jane of Cedar Rapids; children, Billy Joe Ellis (Jenny) of Cedar Rapids, Kim L a r i m e r (John) of Vinton, Tania Strait of Delhi, Richard Strait (Jenny) of Cedar Rapids, Richelle Strait of Cedar Rapids and Shelly Ellis of Cedar Rapids; grandchildren, Nikki, Angel, Elizabeth, Lindsey, Cassi, Cory, Jakob, Joshua, Andy and William; and brothers, Leo Ellis of Phoenix, Ray Ellis of Phoenix, Gerald Ellis of Marion and William Ellis of Cedar Rapids. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Hazel Ellis; brothers, Charles and Richard; and sister, Violet. "Buck" Donald Ellis was born Dec. 1,1935, in Ryan, Iowa, the son of Charles and Hazel (Rainbird) Ellis. On Dec. 12, 1981, he married Jane Strait in Cedar Rapids. He worked as a laborer for Iowa Steel. He was a former member of the Eagles Club and Moose Lodge. He was a loving father and grandfather and will be greatly missed by those he knew and loved. A memorial fund has been established.
