Faye grew up in Afton and graduated from Afton High School. She was united in marriage to Raymond Joe McKnight on March 26, 1954, in Hiawatha, Kansas, and they were blessed with a son, Brad. Faye was a farm wife and also worked at Western Auto and was co-owner of Interstate 35 DX in New Virginia. She and Raymond (and Amanda) ran the Liberty Store. After selling the store, she took a job in telemarketing which she enjoyed for a number of years. Faye was very active and always busy. She cherished time with family and friends, playing cards and games. She enjoyed baking and cooking for everyone, no one ever left her house hungry. She enjoyed square dancing, bowling, bingo, crocheting, knitting, painting, find-a-word books and going to garage sales. Those relatives who preceded Faye in death were her husband, Raymond, parents, Neal and Mary, brothers, Willard, Louis, and Kenneth White, sisters, Leota Thompson, Lola Brown, and Shirley Shields. Faye leaves to cherish her memory; son, Brad (Brenda) McKnight of Liberty, IA, granddaughter, Amanda (Corey) Clark of Liberty, IA, great granddaughter, Makenzie McCuddin of Liberty, IA, sister, Marjorie Kennedy of Colorado Springs, CO, sisters-in-law, Eloise White of Creston, IA, Helen McKnight of Osceola, IA, Phyllis Stump of Osceola, IA, Betty Downard of Osceola, IA, and Helen Day of Bondourant, IA, brother-in-law, Otis Brown of Arkansas, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
