Donna was born on Nov. 16, 1938 in El Dorado, to Clifford Eugene and Veneta Muriel (Hobbs) DeWitt. After graduating from El Dorado High School, she attended Butler County JuCo and received a Bachelor's Degree from Emporia State. On Dec. 27, 1959, she married the love of her life, Dale Hamilton at the Presbyterian Church in El Dorado They made their home on the Hamilton family farm in rural Cassoday. Donna was a member and leader for Butler County 4-H Clubs, United Methodist Womens Group, EHU and was a fantastic square dancer, seamstress and cake decorater with a perfect memory. She would always try to fix the other square dancers if they messed up. While living on the farm in Cassoday, Donna loved caring for the smaller animals there, especially the little lambs. She also enjoyed to travel, but due to her health she wasn't always able to go so would watch shows on television and VHS tapes of traveling to different parts of the world. Donna is survived by: her husband Dale; children, Dala Roberts (Don) of Lindsborg, Danny Hamilton (Yolanda) of rural Whitewater, and Donnie Hamilton (Debbie) of rural Newton; siblings, Jerry DeWitt (Sandy) of rural El Dorado and Rita Hurlburt (George) of rural Galva; grandchildren, Matthew Roberts, Megan Roberts, Danielle Hamilton, Mandy Hamilton, Dylan Hamilton, Ryan Hamilton, Madison Hamilton, Melissa Hamilton and Kyle Redinger; 3 great- grandchildren; and many other family and close friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clifford and Veneta, and her grandson, Derek Roberts. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to Cassoday United Methodist Church, 223 Washington St., Cassoday, KS, Cassoday 4-H Boosters, 5787 Ne 150th St., Cassoday, KS 66842, Degraff Community Church, 108th St & Hwy 77, El Dorado, KS 67042 or Wheatstate Manor, 601 S Main St, Whitewater, KS 67154.
