Description	:	Donna Jean Borst, the daughter of Orra Glenn and Mildred Lavaun (Somers) Fancher, was born on September 23, 1949, at St. Anthony Regional Hospital in Carroll, Iowa and died September 20, 2018, at her home in St. Petersburg, Florida at the age of 68 years, 11 months and 28 days. She attended country school in Cameron Township, Gray Consolidated School and graduated from Audubon Community High School in 1967. After graduation she attended Clarkson Hospital School of Nursing in Omaha, Nebraska graduating in August, 1970. She then worked at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. While living in Omaha she met the love of her life, David Lee Borst and they were married on May 1, 1982. After their marriage they moved to St. Petersburg, Florida. Donna worked at Tampa Bay General Hospital where she was the Orthopedic Nurse Supervisor until retiring in June 2014. Donna was an avid sports fan following and attending the Tampa Bay Rays, Buccaneers and Lightning games, but also kept her roots in the Midwest by following the Iowa State Cyclones and Kansas City Royals. She followed the NASCAR circuit and attended the Daytona 500 for over 20 years. In recent years she found a love for the symphony. Her nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews were the joy of her life. She kept track of all their school activities and, if possible, came back home to attend their milestones. She was separated from her family by distance, but her love of all was ever present. Preceding her in death were her parents; her brother, Gary Fancher and her father-in-law, Wilbur Borst. Survivors include husband, David, who died shortly after Donna; her sister, Marilyn (Danny); sister-in-law, Joan; her nieces, Marla (Mickey); Danis (Bret); Brooke (Jerod); nephew, Justin (Katy); her great niece, Ragen (Adam); great nephews, Reece, Connor, Easton, Beau, Ethan, Brock, Brody and Brecken. Mother-in-law, Eleanor; brother-in-law, Jack (Marge); nephew, Michael (Fallan); niece, Catherine; great nephews, Jordan (Jessica) and Jacob; great niece, Caitlyn; and many other relatives and friends. The Celebration of Life Memorial Graveside Service will be conducted by Pastor Kelley Pedersen on Saturday, October 13, 2018, at 10:30 A.M. at the Maple Grove Cemetery in Audubon, Iowa.
