Description	:	Donna June Madson, the daughter of Morris and Elsie (Webb) Anderson, was born on June 6, 1929 at Hebron, Nebraska. She passed away on May 23, 2007 at Brodstone Memorial Hospital in Superior, Nebraska at the age of 77 years, 11 months and 17 days. Donna grew up in Nelson and graduated from Nelson High School in 1947. She also throughout the years attended Central Community College in Hastings, Nebraska to further her education. Read More	Donna June Madson, the daughter of Morris and Elsie (Webb) Anderson, was born on June 6, 1929 at Hebron, Nebraska. She passed away on May 23, 2007 at Brodstone Memorial Hospital in Superior, Nebraska at the age of 77 years, 11 months and 17 days. Donna grew up in Nelson and graduated from Nelson High School in 1947. She also throughout the years attended Central Community College in Hastings, Nebraska to further her education. Donna as an adult found interest in genealogy, she spent countless hours in tracing her family ancestry. She was interested in bird watching and truly loved her cats. In her spare time Donna loved to read. Growing up in the Depression Era had a great effect on her attitude and life, she learned to be conservative, organized and was a great saver which she carried on throughout her lifetime. Donna was a member of the Church of Christ in Superior, and was active in its activities, she was a member of the VFW Gold Star Sisters in Nelson, Nebraska. She volunteered at the Hastings Regional Center, the Hastings Literacy Reading Program, and the Nifty-Thrify Store in Superior. She lived in the communities of Nelson and Superior her entire lifetime. She was preceded in death by her parents, and four brothers, Eugene, Morris, Jr., Jack, and an infant brother. Survivors include her son, Terry and wife LaDene of Nelson, Nebraska, and daughter, Mickey Hendershot of Kingsville, Texas; former husband, Ted Madson of Nelson, Nebraska; two grandchildren, Sara Madson of Omaha, Nebraska and Christy Freouf and husband Adam of Erickson, Nebraska; sisters, Judy Mertens, of Superior, Nebraska, Bonnie Adrian of Venton, Iowa and Marlys Waller of Pilot Grove, Missouri; nieces, nephews other relatives and a host of friends. Funeral services were held on Saturday, May 26, 2007 at 2:00 PM from the Church Of Christ in Superior, Nebraska with Pastor Jim Stark officiating. Music was "How Great Thou Art" and "The Old Rugged Cross," with Stephanie Thayer as soloist and Evelyn Jackson as the accompanist. Pallbearers were Mike Wilford, Dean Simpson, Lyle Mertens, John Mertens, Dale Mertens, and Roger Amack. Interment was in the Nelson Cemetery at Nelson, Nebraska. Megrue--Price Funeral of Superior, Nebraska was in charge of the arrangements.
