Donna June Buss was born on February 11, 1927 in Norfolk, NE to Ralph and Pauline (Schonebaum) Nichols. She grew up in Norfolk and graduated from Norfolk High School. After high school, Donna attended Norfolk Junior College. On January 11, 1948, Donna married Virgil Frank Buss at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Hoskins, NE. To this marriage, five children were born. Donna and Virgil owned family businesses in Laurel over the years, including Buss Feed Store and Buss Service. Donna enjoyed gardening, golfing, bowling, traveling, knitting, and playing Solitaire. Donna is survived by five children, Norman (Jean) Buss of Lincoln, NE, Barbara Moss of Mill Spring, MO, Beverly (Dennis) Eby of Beatrice, NE, Paula Engel of Rudy, AR, Shelly Carstens of Creighton, NE; sister-in-law, Delores Buss of Laurel, NE; 9 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, 2 nieces, and 3 nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph & Pauline; husband, Virgil, on January 15, 2016; brother, Donald Nichols; sister and brother-in-law, Lorene & Paul Hintz; son-in-law, Jerry Moss; brother-in-law, Robert Buss; nephew, Ronald Hintz; and niece, Patricia Hintz. - Wintz & Ray Funeral Home
