Donna was born September 28, 1945, in Charleston, SC, a daughter of the late Edward S. Kimbrough and the late Elizabeth R. Kimbrough. She graduated from Winyah High School in Georgetown, where she played basketball and was a cheerleader. She attended and graduated from Winthrop College in Rock Hill, SC. After graduation from college, she worked for International Paper Company in Georgetown. She later accepted a job with U. S. Steel and moved to Atlanta, where she met her husband, Charles Walker. They were married April 24, 1976. They lived in Atlanta until 2010, when they retired and moved to Brunswick /St. Simons Island. She is survived by her husband, Charles Walker; two brothers, Ed (Debbie) Kimbrough and Billy (Melissa) Kimbrough; a sister, Patsy (Sig) Tanner; a sister-in-law, Fran (Jack) Zolomy; a brother-in-law, Pat (Tricia) Walker; nine nieces; two great-nieces; and eight great-nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: The American Diabetes Association, 2451 Crystal Dr., Suite 900, Arlington, VA 22202 or The Humane Society of Southern Coastal Georgia, 4627 US Hwy. 17 N., Brunswick, GA 31525.
