Kruse, 81, entered the arms of her Savior on Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at the Norfolk Veterans Home, lovingly surrounded by family members. Her life was spent making sacrifices for the happiness of others. She continues to make us smile. Donna was born on October 19, 1930, in Flint, MI, the daughter of John and Florence (Hall) Stolz. She attended Muskegon Schools, and then worked at the General Telephone Co. for 10 years before moving to Omaha. She worked at Davis Café from 1965 until 1970 and a printing company from 1970 until 1976. She married Marvin Kruse on March 20, 1970, in Omaha. In 1977, the couple moved to Norfolk, where she worked at McCrory's and later for Dale Electronics until retiring in 1990. Donna is survived by her son Duane Bickel and beloved family Terry & Leanne Hochstein, grandchildren Phillip & Erika Zierke, Joe Zierke & fiancée Jean French, Kate & Jake Ebeling, Niki & Gary Petersen, and Angie Johnson, and seven great-grandchildren. Her husband preceded her in death on April 29, 1989. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Activities Department at the Norfolk Veteran's Home.
