She lived in the place of her birth the greater part of her life and while there endeared to herself a large circle of friends who felt the inspiration of her life. Read More	Dora A. Newlon Dora A. Newlon was born in Bentonsport, Io., April 18, 1858, and died Sept. 12, 1918, at the age of 60 years, 4 months and 21 days. She lived in the place of her birth the greater part of her life and while there endeared to herself a large circle of friends who felt the inspiration of her life. On account of the fact that her mother preceded her in death May 28 of this years, she was persuaded to close the littel(little) home in Bentonsport and make her home with her cousins Mr. and Mrs. John Cresswell of Harrisburg. It was noticed that her health was failing and everything was done that loving hands could do, yet the angel of death called her home. During her sickness she manifested a patience which was the comment of those about her. She leaves to mourn her death one sister, Kate Newlon, a brother Charles Newlon, of Burlington, and her cousins Mr. and Mrs. Cresswell, who did all that was possible to make her life one of sunshine. Services were held from the Cresswell home and interment was made in the Bentonsport cemetery with Rev. D. Mason officiating. Source: Van Buren Co.
