A memorial service was held at 9:30 am July 16 at the Stark Funeral home before entrainment for Iowa. John J. McIntyre of Casper and Rev E.M. Wilson conducted the service. Funeral services were held from the Siam Methodist Church near New Market, Ia, on July 18, with Rev Lacy H. Thompson in charge. Burial was made in the family plot at New Market in Old Memory Cemetery, under the direction of Walker Funeral Home of Clarinda. Mrs Roush was born on Oct 28, 1871, near Siam, Ia, and entered into rest at Glenrock, Wyo, at the age of 85 years, eight months and 16 days. She was very active in church and youth work during her life in Siam. On July 1, she was admitted to the Douglas hospital following a stroke and this was the first time in her life that she had been hospitalized. Mrs Roush moved to Glenrock in November 1945 to make her home with her son-in-law and daughter, Mr and Mrs Verne Griffith, and went with them when they made their home in Powell for ten years. They returned to Glenrock in October, 1956. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Roush, on March 14, 1929, and a son, Homer Dee Roush, on Jan 28, 1950. Surviving are her daughter, Mrs Verne (Helen) Griffith; three sisters, two granddaughters, Mrs Francis (Irene) Sutphin of Denver, Colo, and Mrs John (Annis) Doto of New Orleans, La, and two great-granddaughters, Kay Doto and Connie Sutphin.
