She passed away April 29, 1957 at 5:30 p.m. at the home of her son, Olin, at the age of 83 years, 10 months and 14 days. She was united in marriage to Jontie Curtis, Oct. 21, 1891 at Indianola, Ia. DORA ALICE CURTIS Mrs. Dora Alice Curtis, daughter of George W. and Nancy Sones, was born in Warren county, Ia., June 15, 1873. She passed away April 29, 1957 at 5:30 p.m. at the home of her son, Olin, at the age of 83 years, 10 months and 14 days. She was united in marriage to Jontie Curtis, Oct. 21, 1891 at Indianola, Ia. To this union six sons were born. Preceding her in death were Mr. Curtis, one infant son, Carl, one sister and one brother. Left to mourn her passing are five sons, Ralph of Richland, Mont., Fred of Norwood, Lemley, Olin and Herbert of Chariton, 13 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, two sisters, Elfie Miller of Indianola and Pearl Schooler of Carlisle, and four brothers, Sanford of Indianola, Howard of Omaha and Ferman and Jasper of California. Mrs. Curtis was a kind and loving mother, always thoughtful of others. Funeral services were held Thursday, May 2, at 2 p.m. at the Miley Chapel with Rev. A. E. Beals officiating.
