She was born in Asheboro and was educated at Guilford College and at State Teachers College at Boone. She taught for a number of years in the Randolph County Schools and was principle of New Market School for three years. She retired in 1945. She was twice married, first to Charles Davis, who died in 1912. In 1945 she married Joseph C. Redding of Hamilton, who survives. Other survivors are four sisters, Mrs Bird Brookshire of Randleman, Mrs Lena Cole and Miss Lillie Bulla, both of Charlotte, and Mrs Jenny Welborn of Gunnison, Colo.; three brothers, Rev. B.B. Bulla and D.R. Bulla, both of Sophia, and W.O. Bulla of Graham. She had been a member of Marlboro Friends Meeting, but following her moving to Hamilton, she joined the Hamilton Methodist Church. Funeral will be held in the Hamilton Methodist Church at 2 p.m. Wednesday, by the pastor, Rev. W.H. Simmerman. The body will be sent to High Point from Emporia Wednesday evening and is expected to arrive here Friday. Funeral will be held be held in Marlboro Friends Meeting House and burial will be in the cemetery. The time will be announced later. Wednesday March 18, 1953 Greensboro Daily News (Greensboro, NC) _____________________________ High Point, March 20--Funeral for Mrs Dora Bulla Redding, a former Randolph County resident who died in an Emporia, Kansas hospital Tuesday morning, will be held at Marlboro Friends Meeting House Sunday at 2: 30 p.m. Officiating ministers will be York Teague, minister of the Marlboro Friends Meeting, and Rev. Frank Edwards, pastor of Old Union Methodist Church. The body will be taken to the home of D.R. Bulla, at Sophia, Saturday at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 21, 1953, Greensboro Daily News (Greensboro, North Carolina)
