Read More	Obituary of Dora Koch Dora Elizabeth (Thornton) Koch 6/22/1922-1/7/2017 Dora was born and raised in the Underwood and White Salmon Area as the youngest of a large family. She would get a twinkle in her eye reminiscing about her dad's sawmill in Underwood and their old homestead on Underwood cutoff, if you look you can still see the fittings from an old barn and almost make out where her prized asparagus patch would have been. She met and married Charles Woodrow "Woody" Koch and together they raised 4 children. Woody was a millwright so they followed the saw mill's and lived on the Oregon Coast for bit, had an adventure in Canada and finally settled back in White Salmon in 1960. Dora enjoyed camping, fishing, gardening, sewing, quilting, cooking and baking. She was quite famous for her Huckleberry cobbler and her million dollar fudge. Quilts and handmade Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls were a favorite gift to share with family and friends. She was very active in the Husum Church of God for over 50 years. During that time she served in different capacities but she most enjoyed leading the Women of the Church of God and preparing for their Husum Holly Days sales. She was a great woman of faith and always had a prayer and a praise to share. Dora is survived by her 4 children, 10 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild along with many nieces and nephews. The family will be holding a graveside service in June.
