Read More	ALBERTA DEATH REGISTER #101-498 THE CLARESHOLM LOCAL PRESS Claresholm Alberta, Thursday June 8 1944 Mrs Christensen Dies In Edmonton Mrs Lloyd (Dora Hazel) Christensen died in the University Hospital in Edmonton on Monday June 5th, aged 22 years, 5 months and 6 days. She was the daughter of J.J. Strang of Magrath, formerly of Claresholm. The heartfelt sympathy of a wide circle of friends and acquainatnces goes out to the bereaved in this untimely death of such a promosing young life. Dora, one of the Strang twins, was born and brought up in Claresholm. She attended public school in Claresholm. going into high school in Magrath after the family moved there. She was married New Years Day 1942 to Lloyd Christensen, at that time stationed in Claresholm as electrician with the Calgary Power Co. About a year ago he was transferred to Hardisty as the local representative for the Power Co. and the home was set up there. For several months Dora had been in questionable health but no diagnosis seemed to fit her condition. About two weeks ago her condition took an obvious serious turn and she was rushed to Edmonton. Tubercular meningitis was the cause of death. She is survived by: her husband, her father, J.J. Strang of Magrath her twin sister, Dona (Mrs Bob Bourne) of Magrath Lydia (Mrs John Mullin) of Claresholm Leona (Mrs Harold Cushman of Calgary her three brothers Laurence (Claresholm) Wayne (Claresholm) Stanley (Calgary Her mother died when she was but four years of age. The remains arrived from Edmonton on Wednesday night's train and are lying at rest in the Ringrose Funeral parlors. Funeral arrangements are for services in the Claresholm LDS Church at 2:30 Friday afternoon, with Bishop A.W. Miller in charge. The pallbearers will be the three brothers, Laurence. Wayne and Stanley Strang and three brothers-in-law, William and Norman Christensen of Calgary and Magrath respectively and Dallas Minion of Magrath. Interment will be in the Claresholm Cemetery.
