Burial will follow in Sunset Lawns Cemetery. Order of the Eastern Star Rites will be given at the close of the services in the chapel. Visitation with the family will be Tuesday evening from 6-7 p.m. at the funeral home. She was born Nov. 23, 1925, in Formoso, the daughter of Jesse L. and Mary Lee (Mohler) Peters. On Oct. 25, 1944, she married Martin A. Reed in Wichita. He preceded her in death on May 25, 2001. She was a homemaker and also bookkeeper for her husband's business. She was also a seamstress. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Social Order of Beauceant and was a member of the Beauceant Past Presidents Club. Survivors include: daughter, Rebecca Costello of El Dorado; brother, John L. Peters of Formoso; adopted son, Jeff Halle of El Dorado; grandson, Raymond L. Costello of Augusta; granddaughter, Anita R. Simmons of Joplin, Mo.; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Ila Mae Sjolander. Memorials in her memory for Knights Templar Eye Foundation may be left at Carlson Funeral Home where friends may call.
