Description	:	Cherokee Times: Aug. 15, 1910 Dora May only daughter of George and Florence Leonard, was born in Silver township, Cherokee Iowa, April 5th 1883. Here she grew to womanhood, remaining in the home of her parents until her marriage to John Irwin McCammant, also of Silver township October 23th 1901. They continued to reside in Cherokee county until 1904 when they removed to Milestone, Saskatchewan, Canada, to make for themselves a home. Read More	Cherokee Times: Aug. 15, 1910 Dora May only daughter of George and Florence Leonard, was born in Silver township, Cherokee Iowa, April 5th 1883. Here she grew to womanhood, remaining in the home of her parents until her marriage to John Irwin McCammant, also of Silver township October 23th 1901. They continued to reside in Cherokee county until 1904 when they removed to Milestone, Saskatchewan, Canada, to make for themselves a home. One child was born to them Kenneth now a motherless lad of eight years. In April 1910 Mrs. McCammant's health failed and in July she came to the home of her parents for a visit, hoping to regain her health. For time she seemed to improve but was taken very ill Aug. 5th. and on Sunday Aug. 7th passed away at the home of her parents. The husband was notified and came at once the funeral services being held on Tuesday Aug. 9th from the home to the Silver church. They were conducted, by Rev. R. A, Harwood of Quimby and were very largely attended and utmost sympathy shown for the stricken husband and sorrowing parents and other relatives. Six young men of Silver, township where most of Mrs. McCammant's life had been spent, acted as pall bearers, the Holstein choir rendered appropriate hymns both at the home and the church, the floral tributes were elegant attesting the high esteem felt for the departed wife and daughter and the procession to the Silver cemetery where the interment was had was one of the largest seen in several years.
