James Towler officiated. Mrs. Harmon died Saturday, August 2, 1975, in the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Abby and Evelyn Johnson, at Hope. Mrs. Evelyn Powers was organist and Mrs. John Mewes and Alfred Johnson sang. Pallbearers were David Piper, David Harmon, John Brekke, Bradley Harmon, Keith Johnson and Dean Johnson. Interment is in the Hunter Cemetery. Dora Pearl Thomas was born October 16, 1883, at Vergas, Minnesota, and lived there until her marriage July 11, 1900, at Park Rapids, Minnesota. The couple farmsteaded there until 1912 when they moved to North Dakota where they farmed in the Hunter and Amenia areas. She was a member of the Hunter Methodist Church and its WSCS. Mr. Harmon died in 1944. Survivors besides Mrs. Johnson (Evelyn) include five sons and three daughters, Leon Harmon, James Harmon, Kermit Harmon and Mrs. Gladys Brekke, all of Fargo; Mrs. Dale (Dora) Smith, Mrs. Kermit (Etta) Glew and Loren Harmon, all of San Jose, California; Frank Harmon, Moorhead, Minnesota; Two sisters, Mrs. Lillian Rudolph, Grand Rapids, Minnesota; Mrs. Myrtle Winkler, Minneapolis, Minnesota; 38 grandchildren, 65 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. West Funeral Home of Casselton was in charge of arrangements.
