Funeral services were held in the Christian Reformed Church on Monday, September 9th, with the Vander Ploeg funeral home in charge of arrangements and the Rev. H.C. Van Deelen officiating. Read More	Obitiuary of Mrs. Dora Post Mrs. Dora Post, age 79 years, passed away in the Sioux Center Hospital on Thursday, September 5, following a long illness. Funeral services were held in the Christian Reformed Church on Monday, September 9th, with the Vander Ploeg funeral home in charge of arrangements and the Rev. H.C. Van Deelen officiating. Dora Visser was born in Kampen, The Netherlands on November 4, 1877, and there grew to womanhood. On November 29, 1900, she was united in marriage to Mr. Gerrit Vander Ziel. In 1911, she and her husband, came to America, settling in the Sioux Center vicinity. They later moved to Minnesota, where on March 8, 1918, her husband preceded her in death. She then moved back to Sioux Center. There her oldest son also preceded her in death. After her marriage to Thys Post in 1925, she lived on a farm north of Hull. After their retirement from farming they lived in Hull. She was a member of the Christian Reformed Church and an active Aid member until illness prevented her from attending the meetings. She is survived by one son, Ed VanderZiel of Galveston, Texas; and five daughters, Mrs. lucy DeMan of Redlands, California; Mrs. Henrietta Hoogeveen of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; Mrs. Elizabeth Murphy of L Dorothy Harsma of Rock Rapids, Iowa; 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Also left to mourn her passing are 3 step-sons, 5 step-daughters and their children; also 1 brother and 2 sisters. A brother and sister preceded her in death. Sioux COunty Index 1957-09-12
