Description	:	Doreen Lily Mohr, 94, of Columbus, Nebraska, died Thursday, November 23, 2017, at Morys Haven Nursing Home in Columbus. The funeral service will be on Monday, November 27 at 10:30 AM at Immanuel Lutheran Church with Rev. Patrick Sparling officiating. Interment will be in Roselawn Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday from 9:30 AM until service time at the church. There will be a family prayer service on Monday at 10:15 AM at the church. Memorials are suggested to Immanuel Lutheran Church. Doreen was born March 6, 1923, in David City, Nebraska, to Oscar and Lillie (Balliet) Pace. She attended Bellwood area schools. Growing up during the depression, Doreen, the youngest of eight children, did not always know if they would have anything to eat for dinner. Doreen survived diphtheria as a child. She enjoyed fishing and playing baseball with her brothers and sisters. In 1946, Doreen was united in marriage to William Mohr at Immanuel Lutheran Church. She enjoyed going to the dog races in South Dakota, watching the Braves play baseball, even though she was in competition with Bill, who was a Cardinals fan. Doreen always had a smile on her face, and was always ready to help those she loved. Doreen is survived by: Nieces and Nephews Doreen was preceded in death by: Parents - Oscar and Lillie Pace Husband - Bill Mohr Brothers - Pearl, Don, George, and Virgil Pace Sisters - Ethel Ostrander, Eileen Pace, and Velma Olson
