Description	:	Doreen Buse July 2, 1927 - Jan. 29, 2013 Santa Cruz On January 29, 2013 Doreen Buse peacefully entered into rest after fighting long and hard with her cancer. Doreen was born on July 2, 1927 in Merritt, British Columbia. After graduating from Kamloops High in 1945, Doreen joined the Women's Canadian Army where she served her country. Doreen would relocate to Santa Cruz in 1961 with her husband Keith and her two daughters. Doreen was born on July 2, 1927 in Merritt, British Columbia. After graduating from Kamloops High in 1945, Doreen joined the Women's Canadian Army where she served her country. Doreen would relocate to Santa Cruz in 1961 with her husband Keith and her two daughters. She worked in the Scotts Valley School District for many years as an administrative assistant and retired in the mid 80's. Doreen had a great passion for travel and theater. She also had many talents such as sewing, needlework, painting, cooking and loved to dance and walk at every opportunity. She was always ready for the next adventure with her friends and family. Doreen and her close friends. Doreen was preceded in death by her husband Keith of 44 years. She is survived by her sister of Merritt, B.C., and her two daughters, her son in law, and two granddaughters of Santa Cruz, and two nephews of Merritt, B.C. In lieu of flowers, please make any donations to Hospice of Santa Cruz, 940 Disc Drive, Scotts Valley, CA 95066. Hospice helped make the tragic journey bearable for Doreen and her family. If you would like to offer condolences to Doreen's family, share your memories and light a candle in her memory. Doreen was preceded in death by her husband Keith of 44 years. She is survived by her sister, Phyliss of Merritt, B.C., and her daughters Sandra Sudbrink and Carol Buse, her son in law Michael, and grandaughters Jennifer Evers and Kimberly Owen of Santa Cruz, and nephews Doug and Fred Riley of Merritt, B.C.
