Her funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, October 5, 2012 at St. Catherine Catholic Church in Oyens, Iowa with Father Bill McCarthy officiating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. Her funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, October 5, 2012 at St. Catherine Catholic Church in Oyens, Iowa with Father Bill McCarthy officiating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Codie Kellen, Kurt Kellen, Patrick Friedmann, Michael Friedmann, Carl Friedmann, Maxwell Alioth, Darrell Nelsen III, Darrick Nelsen, and Nathan Kellen. Honorary casket bearers will be Nick Beeck, Dillon Bower, Kegan Bower, Mack Bower, Nick Shell, and Daric Clopton. Doris Ann Dreckman was born March 30, 1932 to Joseph and Magdelena (Holzman) Dreckman. Doris graduated from St. Joseph Catholic High School in Le Mars in 1950, upon graduation she was employed at First National Bank in Le Mars until she was united in marriage to Lawrence H. Kellen on August 8, 1955 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Le Mars. Doris and Lawrence were blessed with 12 children. Doris and Lawrence farmed east of Le Mars for many years. Doris was a member of St. Catherine's Catholic Church in Oyens and a member of the Guild and Catholic Daughters of America for over 50 years. She was also a longtime member of the Wasmer American Legion Auxiliary. Doris enjoyed gardening, fishing, playing pinochle with family and friends, and traveling to visit children and grandchildren. Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Lawrence of Le Mars; 9 children: Glenn and Connie Kellen, Al and Becky Kellen, Sondra and Gary Pageler all of Le Mars, Julie and George Friedmann of Sac City, IA, Cindy and Al Alioth of Sgt. Bluff, Lisa Nelsen of Des Moines, Angie and Chris Beeck of Hinton, Dan Kellen and Rita Ude of Omaha, and Lynn and Jim Clopton of Wichita, KS; 34 grandchildren: (Glenn) Katie Gerloff, Codie Kellen, and Kurt Kellen, (Al) Adrienne Bower, Laura Bower, Krista Stroud, Jamie Clair, Dillion Bower, Kegan Bower, Kari Kellen, Jenna Kellen, Mack Bower, and Schuylar Kellen, (Julie) Patrick Friedmann, Michael Friedmann, Jill Hunziker, and Carl Friedmann, (Cindy) Nick Shell, Hannah Alioth, Bailey Alioth, and Maxwell Alioth, (Lisa) Darrell Nelsen III, Darrick Nelsen, and Abigail Hommer, (Angie) Samantha Beeck, Nick Beeck, and Ally Beeck, (Sondra) Lisa Pageler, Kathy Pageler, Megan Pageler, (Dan) Sydney Kellen and Nathan Kellen, (Lynn) Daric Clopton and Desiree Selvin; and 32 great grandchildren; 3 siblings: Cletus and Katherine Dreckman, Loretta Schnepf, and Marilyn Phelan all of Le Mars; in-laws: Louis and Jean Kellen of Naperville, IL., Agnes and Melvin Ruba of Remsen, Ambrose and Anne Kellen of Cold Springs, TX, Jerome and Perry Kellen, Joe and Liz Kellen all of Alton, Arnie and Peggy Kellen of Antioch, IL., and Sandy Kellen of Ames, IA; and several nieces, nephews, and many friends. Doris was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Magdelena (Holzman) Dreckman; 3 children: Scott, Pamela, and Joseph Kellen; 2 grandchildren: Eric and Jennifer Kellen; and in-laws: Aloysius and Elizabeth Kellen, Ralph Schnepf, Leland Phelan, Dolores and Sylvester Hansen, and Daniel Kellen.
