Description	:	Doris H. Dickinson, 87, died peacefully Thursday, May 15, 2008, at the Woodmont Center. She was preceded in death by her husband, James K. "Trigger" Dickinson Jr., who passed in February 2000. She was the daughter of the Rev. Thomas L. Howard and Lottie W. Howard of Richmond. Doris was the youngest of nine children. Her parents died when she was very young, and she was raised by her sister, Ethel Rose and her husband, Stansbury, of Fredericksburg. Dickinson III and his wife, Janice, of Fredericksburg, and their family. Mrs. Dickinson graduated from James Monroe High School and remained in Fredericksburg her whole life. She worked many years at Miller's Dress Shop on Caroline Street and was known by many. She was a very outgoing and a loving person. She loved people and people loved her. She developed Alzheimer's four years ago and handled it with true strength and grace. She will be missed by all. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 18, in Oak Hill Cemetery with Dr. Larry Haun officiating. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, a donation be made in her memory to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America, 322 Eighth Ave., 7th Floor, New York, N.Y. 10001, or alzfdn.org.
