Description	:	Doris Lucile Benn, 74, of 1001 North Court Street, Carroll, died unexpectedly at St. Anthony Hospital at 6:30 a.m. Sunday June 20th 1971. Services will be held at 9 a.m. Wednesday at the Dahn Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll, with the Rev. Dr. Ernest F. Martin pastor of First United Methodist Church, officiating. Friends may call at the Dahn-Woodhouse Funeral Home after noon on Tuesday. Miss. Benn was a bookkeeper and for many years worked for McCoy Motors here, and also for the Drees Heating and Plumbing Company. She was born July 21, 1896, at Talmage, a daughter of Theodore Raymond and Luella Belle Iden Benn. She attended business college in Ottumwa and came to Carroll May 3, 1942, from Washington. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and it Women’s Society of Christian Service. Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Ralph Woods of Washington, Iowa; a brother, Ronald R. Benn of Tacoma, Washington; and several nieces and nephews.
