Mrs. Hawkins was born March 16, 1931 in Columbiana, a daughter of the late Earl E. and Mabel Forney Kyser and had lived in this area all of her life. She had been a seamstress for Canvas Corner, East Palestine and attended East Fairfield United Methodist Church. Her husband, Kenneth James Hawkins, whom she married in 1948, died, June 10, 1998. She is survived by a daughter, Linda Cook of Leetonia, a son, Gary Hawkins of Austintown; a brother, Robert Kyser of Garland, Texas; seven grandchildren and six greatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Susan Biscela and a brother, Earl Kyser. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, February 19, 2010, at East Fairfield United Methodist Church with the Rev. Michael Namy officiating. Burial will be in Crest Haven Memorial Gardens. Arrangements were made by the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana, OH.
