Groves, and one sister, Elizabeth Swift. Doris worked as a clerk at Englanders Pharmacy. She was a member of the St. Mark’s Lutheran Church for over 60 years, where she served in many capacities. She is survived by one son, Elwood Groves, Jr. and wife, Ann, Hillsboro, WV; four grandchildren, Elwood Groves III and wife, Abby, Lyman, SC; Sarah VanReenen and husband, Steven, Wirtz, VA; James Groves and wife, Emily, Hillsboro; John Groves, Hillsboro; four great grandchildren. Friends will be received at Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 1100 Memorial Dr., Oakland, MD, on Sunday, December 29, 2019, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. Services will follow visitation at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Dr. Scott Robinson officiating. Interment will be in Garrett County Memorial Gardens, Oakland.
