Read More	Doris Marie (Aabel) Muller, 80, of Kearney died Thursday, May 20, 2010, at her home. Services were held Monday at First United Methodist Church with the Revs. Gary Main and Rebecca Hjelle officiating. Burial was at Minden Cemetery before services. She was born Aug. 5, 1929, near Heartwell to Marius "Mike" and Ethel (Youngson) Aabel. On June 25, 1950, she married Wendell Muller in Minden. Survivors include her husband; daughters, Carlene Muller of Lincoln, Sue LaQua and her husband, Fred, of Sioux Falls, S.D., and Ann Patterson and her husband, Mike, of Kearney; and sisters, Norma Rasmussen of Minden and Rosalie Davis of Austin, Texas. She graduated from Minden High School in 1948. She worked a short time at the Minden Telephone Office and Gibbon Turkey Plant, but her true life's work and passions included working on the family farm, raising farm animals, tending a large garden and keeping a meticulous house and yard. Her hobbies included embroidery, quilt making and card playing. Her greatest joy was her family, and her generous love always put concern for others before herself. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Kearney, Newark Valley Kountry Club, El Charmin Lake Ladies, Golden K Kiwanis, several card clubs and a monthly high school friends coffee group. Doris and Wendell lived on their farm in the Lowell area for 59 years. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Charlotte Nelson; and grandson, Jason Stutheit.
