She was born Aug. 17, 1916, in Clearwater, Kan., the daughter of Earl Ruben and Nancy Ellen (Kearns) Price. She attended elementary school in Elbing and graduated from Marysville High School in 1934. She married Harry Lee Rohmeyer in Cassoday on Sept. 23, 1940. The early years of their marriage were spent on a farm in Cassoday. After leaving the farm in 1956, they lived in numerous locations throughout Kansas while Harry was employed in construction. In 1966, they moved to Riley, where Doris lived until 1997, when she moved to Topeka to be nearer to her eldest daughter. Throughout her life, Doris was active in church and in the United Methodist Women, as well as the Home Demonstration Unit. She was also active in Rebekahs, in which she held various offices. She was a gifted seamstress and enjoyed sharing her gift with others. Her husband preceded her in death on March 24, 1981. She was also preceded in death by her parents, an infant sister, Henrietta Clara Price, and a brother, Clifford Floyd Price. She is survived by two brothers, Carl Lee Price and Joseph Dale Price, both of Marysville; a half-brother, E.R. Price of Arkansas City; and a half-sister, Helen Lee Price of WaKeeney; two daughters, Nancy Karlea Landman and her husband Dean of Topeka, and Karen Marie Ackerman and her husband Myron of Wichita; a son, Graydon Ray Rohmeyer and his wife, Brenda, of Hayesville, N.C.; five grandchildren, Deborah Kay (Landman) Glaum of Linwood, Kan., Derrick Ray Rohmeyer of Cleveland, Ga., Michael Dean Landman of Valley Falls, Kan., Deneice Elaine (Rohmeyer) McKnight of Panama City, Fla., and Amy Dawn Ackerman of Wichita; four great-granddaughters, two great-grandsons, a step-great-grandson and a step-great-granddaughter. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Highland Park United Methodist Church, United Methodist Church of Riley, of Midland Hospice, sent in care of Davidson Funeral Home, 1035 N.
