Description	:	Doris Pearl Dubbert Siddall, of Boise, ID, joined our Lord and many of her family as she passed from this world to a better world. She passed on October 30, 2015 at the Emerson House in Boise. Doris was born in Laurens, Iowa on January 24, 1919, the daughter of Russell and Olive Clark. Doris was the third of nine children. She passed on October 30, 2015 at the Emerson House in Boise. Doris was born in Laurens, Iowa on January 24, 1919, the daughter of Russell and Olive Clark. Doris was the third of nine children. Doris attended Country School near Laurens and graduated from Ware High School. While in high school, Doris earned an excellent reputation as a helper of families with newborn babies. The Schuler family was her first job as a home helper. Doris saved her money and earned enough to enroll in the School of Cosmetology in Fort Dodge, IA. While in cosmetology school, she worked for her room and board staying with the DuPey family, caring for their two children. Doris prepared evening meals and cared for the children at bedtime. To this day, Doris and Ester DuPey Sickman are very close friends and Ester still lives in Fort Dodge. Following her graduation from cosmetology school, Doris ran a beauty shop for nearly two years. In 1944, she married Ulrich Dubbert after dating him for a period of time. Doris and Ulrich lived on the Dubbert family home east of Laurens where they raised cattle and hogs as well as row crops of corn and soy beans. Doris also raised chickens (sold the eggs) and managed a wonderful and large garden. Doris and Ulrich blessed the world with three daughters: Eleanor born in 1945, Charlotte born in 1946, and Barbara born in 1949. Doris and Ulrich have six granddaughters. Each daughter gave birth to two daughters. Eleanor's girls: Lisa and Amanda; Charlotte's girls: Denys and Brooke; and Barbara's girls: Christina and Alison. There are six great-grandchildren; five boys and one girl. Ulrich Dubbert passed away in 1974 from complications during surgery. Doris remarried in 1979 to Don Siddall. The couple retired from farming and moved into town in Laurens. Their time together was spent gardening and traveling to see all their children and to enjoy such exotic places as Hawaii. Don passed away in 1994 of heart failure. From 1994 to 2006, Doris lived alone, traveled often to Arizona, Idaho, and Texas visiting her three daughters and their families. In early 2006, she told Charlotte and Barbara, it was time to be closer to family as many of her closet friends in Iowa were gone. In the fall of 2006, Doris, Charlotte, Barbara, Gary, and Larry loaded up a U-Haul truck and moved Doris to Boise, ID. 2007 saw the group travel back to Iowa to what would be the last Clark family reunion. The trip was a huge and fun venture, visiting lots of friends and especially brother and sisters. At that time, five of the nine children remained. Doris was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, and six of her brothers and sisters. With the passing of Doris, there remains just two of the Clark clan, sisters Irene and Ida Belle. Doris is survived by her three daughters: Eleanor, in Mineral Wells, TX, Charlotte Adams (Gary), in Boise, ID, and Barbara Mishler (Larry), in Tempe, AZ; six granddaughters: Christina Bannon, Alison Gansle, Denys McCall, Brooke Howard, Lisa Rogers and Amanda Hayes; and her six great-grandchildren. Doris was an active member of the Methodist Church, Order of the Eastern Star, American Legion Auxiliary, and many church circles. She loved quilting and embroidery and was a loving generous person. WE ALL MISS HER DEARLY! A memorial service will be held at 3 pm on Saturday, November 7, 2015 at Summers Funeral Home, 3629 E. Ustick Road, Meridian. Doris will then travel back to her beloved Iowa for her final resting place in Laurens. Memorial services in Laurens will be held at the United Methodist Church at 1 pm on Saturday, November 14, 2015. Doris' final resting place will be at the Laurens Cemetery. The family would be honored by your attendance for light refreshments after the services at the respective facilities.
