Description	:	Doris T. Nelson "was born on May 24, 1926, in Hamill, S.D., the daughter of Tom and Louise (Engel) Coash. She was raised at Winner, S.D. After her graduation Doris taught country school for two years and then taught a year at Little Crow Creek, an Indian School in South Dakota, and a year in Meadow Grove. She then attended college in Mitchell, S.D., Springfield, S.D., the Norfolk Junior College and Wayne State College in Wayne. Doris married Cullen With, and two children were born to this marriage. She served as local president and helped placed the flags at the cemeteries for Memorial Day for over 33 years. She has also been an active life-member of the VFW Post 1644 Auxiliary for over 58 years." "She also served as the grand marshall of the 2015 Norfolk July 4th Parade." She was survived by 1 son and 1 daughter from her first marriage, 2 sons and 1 daughter and their spouses from the second marriage, 12 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.
