She was born Jan. 11, 1923 in Highland County was the daughter of the late Edward Clarence and Annie Louise Stone Waggoner. She moved to Harrisonburg from Highland County in 1954 and was a member of West Side Baptist Church. She had worked as office manager for Joseph Ney's Dept. She was born Jan. 11, 1923 in Highland County was the daughter of the late Edward Clarence and Annie Louise Stone Waggoner. She moved to Harrisonburg from Highland County in 1954 and was a member of West Side Baptist Church. She had worked as office manager for Joseph Ney's Dept. Store and retired as payroll supervisor for Shenandoah Poultry. On Oct 16, 1946 she married John Black Hannah, who preceded her in death on April 27, 1967. She is survived by two sons, Johnny W. Hannah of Timberville and Joseph Edward Hannah of Harrisonburg; a daughter Mary Louise Hannah of Harrisonburg; a brother; Roy L. Waggoner, Sr. of Blue Grass; two sisters, Marie Arbogast and Hilda Mullenax, both of Blue Grass; and four grandchildren. Graveside services were conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Union Chapel Cemetery in Blue Grass by the Rev. George H. Fletcher. Highland Recorder October 25, 1946 MISS DORIS WAGGONER BRIDE OF MR. HANNAH The wedding of Miss Doris Waggoner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs E.C. Waggoner of Blue Grass, and John B. Hannah, B-M 2C, son of Mrs. Adeline Hannah and the late Mr. John B Hannah of Huntington, W.Va., took place Wednesday evening, Oct 16 at 7:30 o’clock in the home of the bride’s sister, Mrs. Melvin Puffenbarger. Mrs. Foley, organist, wife of the officiating minister, gave a program of wedding music preceding the ceremony. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. L.P. Foley, pastor of the Monterey Methodist Church ... The bride is a graduate of Blue Grass High School and attended Dunsmore Business College. At present she is employed by the York Corporation of Washington, D.C. Mr Hannah has served more than four years in the navy and is now stationed in Norfolk. Immediately following the ceremony there was a reception.
