Dorotha Blanche (Moore) Smith, age: 89, passed away on Saturday; January 14, 2012 at the Crystal Heights Care Center in Oskaloosa; Mahaska County, Iowa. Those left to mourn her passing are: Her sons: Larry (Susan) Smith of Schaumburg; Cook County, Illinois, David (Cindy) Smith of Oskaloosa, Iowa, and Dennie (Marsha) Smith of Deerfield; Kearny County, Kansas. Her seven grandchildren; her eleven great-grandchildren and her two great-great grandchildren. Also many nieces, nephews and a host of friends. Dorotha was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; her son: Leonard "Chic" Smith; her siblings: Estel, Gerald, William, Roy, Mitchell, Bonnie, Grisenia, Irma, Leola and Gladys. May they rest in peace. May God bless her memory and give strength to those that mourn. Visitation will be from: 12:00 noon until 7:00 p.m. with the family being there from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 on Tuesday; January 17, 2012 at the Fremont Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will begin at: 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday; January 18, 2012 also at the Fremont Funeral Chapel. Interment will be at the Garrett Cemetery in Delta, Iowa. Memorials may be made in Dorotha's honor to the American Lung Association.
