Read More	Ninety-five Year Old Resident Dies at Home of Daughter Dorothea Berg Johnson, daughter of Nils and Ineborg Berg, was born at Hammerberg, near Trondhelm, Norway, October 13, 1853, and passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Knute Quall, Monday morning, August 16, 1948, reaching the ripe age of 94 years and 10 months. Mrs. Johnson was baptised and confirmed in Brasberg Lutheran Church at Hammerberg. In 1887 she and her parents came to America. In 1890 she was united in marriage to Elling Johnson, who preceded her in death 32 years ago. She was the mother of two children, Ingeborg, who died at the age of 10 years, and Mrs. Knute Quall, who so lovingly cared for her aged mother until the last. Mrs. Johnson spent most of her life in Union County, South Dakota. In 1925 she moved to Sioux City, Iowa where she spent 17 years. Since that time has lived with her daughter, Mrs. Knute Quall. Mrs. Johnson was a member of the Roseni Lutheran Church congregation. She was a humble and unassuming Christian woman. She loved the Word of God and lived a quiet, trusting life on fatih in Jesus Christ as her only hope of salvation. The family rejoices in their sorrow in that they have the blessed hope that she has gone to be with the Lord. Besides her husband and daughter, she was preceded in death by a step-son, John Johnson. She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Knute Quall, Alcester, S.D.; three step-daughters, Mrs. Anna Stene, Beresford, S.D.; Mrs. Betsy Stavp, Gruver, Texas; Mrs. Johanna Holthe, Watertown, S.D., one grandson and three great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held from the Knute Quall home Thursday, August 19, 1948, at 1:30 pm and from Roseni Lutheran Church at 2:00 pm. Pastor B.F. Mostre will officiate. Pall bearers, g.J. Buum, Julius Buum, Julius Ofstad, Orvie Ofstad, Warren Solbue and Otto Stene. Interment will be made at Roseni Lutheran Cemetery.
