(Matt) Sarbaum, 89 years of age, passed away August 25, 2016 at St. Rose Care Center, LaMoure, ND Dorothy was born July 21, 1927 on the family farm in Barnes County near Litchville, ND. The daughter of John and Ena (Miller) Matt, she was baptized, confirmed and married at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. She grew up in that rural area graduating from Marion High School. (Matt) Sarbaum, 89 years of age, passed away August 25, 2016 at St. Rose Care Center, LaMoure, ND Dorothy was born July 21, 1927 on the family farm in Barnes County near Litchville, ND. The daughter of John and Ena (Miller) Matt, she was baptized, confirmed and married at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. She grew up in that rural area graduating from Marion High School. She married Louis “Bug” G. Sarbaum in October 1944 making their home in Marion, and raising their family of six children. She would later move to Jamestown, where she was employed at Newman Signs. Retiring, she enjoyed a few travels with her sister, coffee and visiting with family and friends. Dorothy enjoyed being a mom and grandmother. She will be remembered for her hospitality and kindness to all. Dorothy took pride in her flowers, cooking, and baking. Her crocheted doilies were given to anyone who admired them. She is survived by her daughter, Marcia (Willie) Dunn; sons, Lonnie (Karen), DeLoy (Pat) and Rodney (Janice); ten grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and one great great granddaughter; sister LouElla Stoltenburg and brother, Larry (Mary Ann) Matt. Preceding her in death, husband, Louis, daughter, JoAnn, son, Randy, one granddaughter and one great grandson. Visitation will be held August 28, 2016 from 5-7 pm followed by a Prayer Service at 7 pm at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, LaMoure. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 am Monday, August 29, 2016 also at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Interment St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Cemetery at Marion, ND.
