Description	:	Dorothy A. Buchwald, of Grundy Center Long Term Care, formerly of Cedar Falls, Iowa, died on January 22, 2016 at the age of 93. She was born on Oct. 8, 1922, in Nevada, Iowa to John Wesley Shalley and Mary Beebe Shalley. She was raised in Marshalltown, Iowa, and graduated from Marshalltown High School in 1940. After graduation, she and her dance partner travelled throughout the Midwest with a musical review. She danced from the age of six through her adult life, teaching dance, gymnastics and also judging gymnastics. She married James H. Buchwald in August 1945 and they were later divorced.... She was employed in several offices in the area and retired from Credit Bureau Enterprises in 1998 after 15 years of employment. She is survived by daughter Rachelle Lewis and her husband Jay, Reggie Lewis, of Robins, Iowa, son Randall Buchwald and his wife Peggy Buchwald of Waterloo, grandson Sean Lewis of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, step grandson, Billy Rolison and his wife Stacy of Waterloo, great granddaughter Emmah Lewis of Cedar Rapids, step great grandchildren, Lindsey Rolison of Coralville, Iowa, Emma and Julien Moore of Waterloo, and step great, great grandson, Leo Rolison of Coralville. Sister, Delores Rose of Marshalltown, Iowa also survives. She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant sister. Obituary, written by Dorothy Buchwald in 2009. At her request there will be no visitation and a private committal service will be held in Nevada, Iowa at a later date. Her body was cremated.
