High School. On November 28, 1938 she was united into marriage to James Tinsley in her parents' home in Neligh, NE. They were married for 57 years. They made their home in Cherry County, Nebraska for 10 years where their children, Judy and Duane, were born.... Dorothy was born on June 6, 1920 to Charley and Ruth (Huston) Bennett at Meadow Grove, NE. Dorothy grew up in the Neligh, NE. area. Dorothy graduated with the Class of 1936 from Neligh (NE.) High School. On November 28, 1938 she was united into marriage to James Tinsley in her parents' home in Neligh, NE. They were married for 57 years. They made their home in Cherry County, Nebraska for 10 years where their children, Judy and Duane, were born. In 1949, they moved to the Cooper Ranch south of Ewing, NE. In 1968, they moved to their ranch west of Clearwater, NE. where they raised Black Angus Cattle. James passed away in 1995, at that time she moved to Neligh, NE. Dorothy enjoyed cooking, fishing, and traveling. She was a member of the United Church Women at Methodist Presbyterian Church in Ewing, NE. She was baptized at Ewing (NE.) Methodist Church. She is survived by: Son, Duane and wife Judy Tinsley of Neligh, NE.; son-in-law, Butch Pofahl of Blair, NE.; Grandchildren: Todd, Scott, Brett (Tricia) Pofahl, Kim Toft, Julie (John) Wilhelm, Shannon Tinsley, Bridget (Rob) Cormier, Dustin (Candi) Tinsley; 14 great grandchildren; sister, Gladys Bennett of Elgin, NE.; brother-in-law, Lyle Miller of Neligh, NE. and Sister-in-law Leora Bennett of Neligh, NE. Dorothy is preceded in death by: parents, and husband, James Tinsley; daughter, Judy Pofahl; brother, Charles Bennett and sisters, Lena Miller and Darlene Dietz. Burial was in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Neligh, NE.
