Description	:	On a sunny Tuesday, October 13, 2015, our loving mother, Dorothy "Dot" Allie Hawkins Creamer, went to heaven peacefully in the arms of her family at the home of her daughter, Karon Dukes, of Anderson. Dot was 85 and formerly of Belton. Born May 2, 1930, in the Long Branch Community of Anderson County, she was the daughter of the late Charley Mattison Hawkins and Anna Lola Belle Ashley. Read More	On a sunny Tuesday, October 13, 2015, our loving mother, Dorothy "Dot" Allie Hawkins Creamer, went to heaven peacefully in the arms of her family at the home of her daughter, Karon Dukes, of Anderson. Dot was 85 and formerly of Belton. Born May 2, 1930, in the Long Branch Community of Anderson County, she was the daughter of the late Charley Mattison Hawkins and Anna Lola Belle Ashley. Married for 66 years, Dot was the devoted and loving wife to Charles Guyton Creamer of Belton. Dot graduated Girls High in Anderson and attended Anderson College. Dot enjoyed many hobbies including reading (especially her family Bible), publishing books, cooking, canning, needlework, tatting, smocking, embroidery, and quilting. She loved nature, her flower beds and her garden. This love was nurtured by growing up on the family farm with her many siblings. Survivors include her loving husband, Charles, twin daughters, Karon Creamer Dukes and her husband, Tripp, of Anderson and Sharon Creamer Hall and her husband, Dennis, and granddaughter, Lexi, of Williamston, SC. Also surviving are a brother, Charles Reuben Hawkins, and his wife, Drew, of Lancaster, SC and sister, Edith Nell Vann of Anderson, SC. Dot was preceded in death by six brothers and three sisters: Lucia Louisa “Lucy” Jones, Lanson Selton “Jake” Hawkins, Clarence Howard “Red” Hawkins, Claude Mattison “Teent” Hawkins, Cleo “Tiny” Wood, Leo “Bill” Hawkins, Warren Harden Hawkins, James Robert “Rob” Hawkins, and Margaret Elizabeth “Squeeky” Kay. Dot loved her family. Her brothers and sisters were all very close and family gatherings at the home place on the family farm were a favorite pleasure for her. Regarding her family, she enjoyed genealogy and wrote numerous books and poems about the exploits of her brothers and sisters. Dot especially loved and adored her twin girls, Karon and Sharon, and her grandchild, Alexa Sha “Lexi” Hall. Dot was a member at Williamston First Baptist Church. She enjoyed teaching Sunday School and singing in the choir. The last two days of her life she sang the old hymn, “Trust and Obey,” over and over. Dot was also an active volunteer in her church and community. Burial: Long Branch Church Cemetery, Highway 413, Belton.
