The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, November 22, 2002, in St. Catherine Catholic Church, Valley City, with Rev. Gerard Braun celebrant. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Thursday, followed by a prayer service in the Peterson-Johnson-Schuldt Funeral Home. Interment will be in St. Catherine’s Cemetery in Valley City. Dorothy Fonder was born October 4, 1922, near Cuba, Barnes County, the daughter of Leonard and Celia Fonder. She grew up and attended school there. Dorothy married Ferdinand (Fritz) Koslofsky on February 2, 1942, at Valley City. The couple farmed near Tower City until moving into Valley City where they owned and operated the Rudolf Hotel Café. In 1967 they moved to Northwood. Fritz died in December of 1978. Dorothy returned to Valley City and was employed at Foss Drug in Valley City before retiring. Dorothy was a member of St. Catherine Catholic Church in Valley City and a former member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Fingal. Dorothy is survived by three daughters, Barbara (Al) Eli, Fort Shaw, Montana, Virginia (Keith) Milton, St. Louis, Missouri, and Nona Koslofsky, Fargo; two sons, Keith (Suzie) Koslofsky, Bozeman, Montana, and Ron (Sharon) Koslofsky, Burnsville, Minnesota; one sister, Isabel Lang, Battle Creek, Michigan; 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
