Mrs. Malzacher was born on March 26, 1918 to Henry and Gesine (Paradies) Meyer at Dodge, Dodge County, Nebraska. She graduated from Scribner High School, and furthered her education at Wayne State College in Wayne. She taught school for five years before she married Otto Willers on Oct 25, 1941, at Hartington. They farmed near Dodge and Scribner before moving to a farm near Neligh in 1951. She taught at six Antelope county rural schools from 1959 to 1974. Her husband died in 1970. She married Paul Malzacher Sr. on June 3, 1972, at Grace Lutheran Church in Neligh. He died in 1982. Dorothy was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and its Ladies Aide, Lutheran Women's Missionary League and the Come Lately and Happy Hour extension clubs. She is survived by sons; Gary Willers, Neligh and Gene Willers, Schuyler, daughters; Suzanne Totten and Yvonne (Mrs. Edward) Jakub, Columbus. Brothers; Walter Meyer, Fremont, Harold Meyer, Verdigre, and Melvin Meyer, Pilger, a sister; Marjorie Schrage, Platte Center, 14 grandchildren, four step grandchildren, six great grandchildren and 10 step great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a brother.
