Dorothy was united in marriage to Claude (Ray) Harrelson. The couple made their home in Nevada and was blessed with five children. Ray passed away in 1978. Over the years, Dorothy worked at several Nevada businesses, including Donnelley Marketing, Nevada Poultry, Rolling Green Village, and the Story County Hospital. She enjoyed playing Bingo, listening to country western music, word search puzzles, camping, and bowling. Dorothy will be remembered as a woman who loved socializing and was always available to lend a helping hand to family and friends. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Ames as well as Westside Church of Christ in Ames. In addition to her husbands, Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Frederick “Bud” Cody; and three sisters, Opal Fisher, Ruth Cody, and Evelyn Cody.
