Dorothy was born July 28, 1927 in Bedford, IA, to Elvin and Gladys Griffith. She taught at country schools in Taylor County and worked in the food service department for the Madrid and Des Moines Public Schools. Dorothy was born July 28, 1927 in Bedford, IA, to Elvin and Gladys Griffith. Dorothy was a member of the Garden Prairie United Church of Christ, Order of the Eastern Star, Madrid Action Committee, Questers, Iowa Kate-Shelly Doll Club and Senior Citizens of Madrid. She was a past membe r of Madrid Campfire. She is survived by her children, Linda Decker of Leon, Larry Cox of Des Moines and David Cox of Madrid; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association or her church.
