Born March 21, 1920, in Athens, she was the daughter of the late Addison and Hazel Dunfee Baker. She and her husband formerly owned and operated Landot Auto Parts. She was a former member of the Children Services Board, volunteered with the Red Cross and Historical Society and was a member of the First Christian Church of Athens. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Landis; her sister, Anna Mae Harkins; and a brother, Virgil Baker.
