She was born on August 15, 1921, in Madison, the daughter of the late Edward Ashby Clore and Alma Blanche Crigler Clore and wife of the late Ben Leake Weaver. She was also preceded in the death by six brothers, Daniel Lewis Clore, Raymond L. Clore, Lucian W. Clore, Edward Bennett Clore, James O. Clore, John W. Read More	Dorothy Clore Weaver, 89, of Madison, died on Monday, May 9, 2011, at her residence. She was born on August 15, 1921, in Madison, the daughter of the late Edward Ashby Clore and Alma Blanche Crigler Clore and wife of the late Ben Leake Weaver. She was also preceded in the death by six brothers, Daniel Lewis Clore, Raymond L. Clore, Lucian W. Clore, Edward Bennett Clore, James O. Clore, John W. Clore and five sisters, Martha Clore Burke, Lucy Frances Clore Coppage, Nannie B. Clore Worsham, Edith Mae Clore Lohr and Eva Blanche Clore Utz. Dorothy was a member of Hebron Lutheran Church and a Charter Member of the Madison Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. She is survived by a son, Carlyle L. Weaver and his wife, Cathy; grandchildren, Jean Marie Dixon and William Henry Dixon and his wife, Helen; four great-grandchildren, Christian and Hannah Dixon, and Luke and Bella Dixon; a sister-in-law, Frances S. Clore, all of Madison; and numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, May 12, 2011, at Hebron Lutheran Church Cemetery conducted by Pastor Lillian Russell- Nicolai. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 11, 2011, at Preddy Funeral Home Chapel in Madison. Memorial contributions may be made to the Madison Volunteer Fire Department, P.O. Box 255 or the Madison Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 868, Madison, VA 22727.
