She graduated in 1941, from Hershey High School.She worked at a dental technician for Dr. Snavely prior to her marriage to Walter George at Our Redeemer Church on Dec. 18, 1943.She lived a half-mile north of Hershey for 54 years. She taught Sunday school for many years and helped with many activates within the church. She thoroughly enjoyed doing all types of crafts to include sewing, knitting, embroidery cards and crocheting. She shared her many works of art with family members and many friends. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; step-father, John Jenkins; her husband; her brother, Alverdate Inman; uncle, Jim Hoover; aunts, Daisy Hurtig and Elsie Hoover. She is survived by two children, Randy (Carol) George, of Hershey, Carolyn (Steve) Parker, of Hickman; sister-in-law, Irene Inman, of Sheridan, Wyo.; seven grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Services will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 19, at Floral Lawn Cemetery. The family requests no flowers. A memorial has been established. North Platte Telegraph May 15, 2011
